Donovan Niles, CPA

I was born in Hollywood Florida and have enjoyed living in South Florida for the entirety of my life. It runs in the family as my grandfather, age 92, was born and lived in Hollywood and my mother age 63, was born in and lived in Hollywood. As a typical Floridian, I enjoy outdoor activities such as gardening, fishing, boating, and anything else I can enjoy under the Florida sunshine. I am also a reef aquarium hobbyist for over a decade with success in aqua-culturing corals. I am captivated by butterfly gardens, beekeeping, urban farming, and aquaponics. I also enjoy financial/retirement planning and stock trading as a hobby. Although I do not provide these services as an expert, please feel free to talk to me about it!

Blogs concerning state & local tax issues for the benefit of small business owners who cannot afford consultation

Federal, State, County, City, & Special District Taxes

Tax laws change on a yearly basis, and many small business owners do not have the staff to be able to actively monitor material changes in the tax code. In addition, state nexus laws have become an impossible hurdle for small business, effectively causing local businesses who sell online to become taxpayers in multiple jurisdictions. I provide these articles for the benefit of others, however they are no substitute for customized advice specific to your facts. Therefore, none of the information provided should be relied upon as tax advice for you or your business.
